Frequently asked questions

Eight quick answers to the questions we hear most often.

How do I get started with PackEdge?
Sign up for a free account at console.packedge.dev, create a product, generate your public key, then drop our SDK (WordPress or JS) into your software. The Quickstart guide walks you through the first license validation in under five minutes.
How do I integrate the WordPress SDK with my plugin?
Drop the SDK files into your plugin under a unique vendor namespace (e.g. YourBrand\\PackEdge\\Client), pass your product's public key during init, and call $client->validate() from your settings screen. The WordPress SDK guide covers auto-updates, deactivation tracking, and the multi-plugin namespace pattern.
Why is license validation failing on my customer's site?
Most validation failures fall into three buckets: a missing or mismatched public key, a domain that hasn't been activated against the license, or a seat limit that has been reached. Open the license in your console — the Sites tab shows which domains are active and the Audit tab logs every failed check with the exact reason.
How do I push a new release to existing customers?
Upload your ZIP from Product → Releases → New release, set the version, write release notes, then publish. If your customers use our WordPress SDK, the update appears in their WP dashboard within minutes. See auto-updates for the full flow.
Can I use Stripe or Polar for payments?
Yes — both are supported, along with LemonSqueezy. Configure your account in Product → Integrations → Payments and point the webhook at PackEdge; licenses are generated automatically on successful checkout. You keep 100% of revenue — PackEdge never takes a cut.
Can I sell multiple plugins from one PackEdge account?
Yes. One account holds unlimited products, each with its own licenses, releases, plans, customers, and webhooks. The Free, Pro, and Business plans differ in total licenses and analytics depth — products are unlimited on every tier.
What customer data does PackEdge collect, and how do I export or delete it?
For each install we record the customer's email, site URL, IP, and environment (PHP, WP, OS, plugins). Open any customer record in the console to view, edit, or delete that data. For GDPR/CCPA deletion requests, the customer detail page has a Delete & anonymize action that purges PII while keeping aggregate analytics. See our privacy policy.
What does PackEdge cost?
Free for side projects, $29/mo Pro, $99/mo Business. No revenue share, no per-license fees, cancel anytime. See the full comparison on the pricing section.
